Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes were grown on McKenzie’s Weka Terrace in Waipara. The blend consists of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, and 1% Petite Verdot, creating a classic Bordeaux style. This wine aged in French barrels for 18 months, resulting in an elegant and full-bodied flavor, featuring blackcurrant fruit and spicy oak. Over 3 to 5 years in the bottle, it will develop more complex flavors similar to cigar box. It's a great value!
